The effects of peer pressure on students.

In the present day, students live in a very competitive environment. There is so much for them to achieve, and they start working hard for the same from a young age. Moreover, students get influenced by their peers and choose different fields for their careers. Sometimes out of peer pressure and the need to stay relevant, they end up facing negative repercussions. Therefore, parents’ guidance is very important for nurturing the child. If any student is different, the peers tend to make fun of them, ignore them, spread rumors, and engage in other harmful activities. Furthermore, learners need to understand that in order to get validation from other people, they don’t have to compromise their values and principles. It is also essential for students to choose the right type of friends, as negative influences can affect their personal life and education. Under peer pressure, students can perform better or even worse. Consequently, it varies from student to student. Adults and teachers should be understanding and must encourage and motivate students to perform better. Thus, while peer pressure can motivate some students to excel, sometimes they may have to deal with challenges that require guidance from parents and teachers.
