The Value of Volunteering and Community Service

 Volunteering plays a major role in community service. When we volunteer and decide to help and work for people from disadvantaged backgrounds, we uplift the society as a whole.  Societal service gives us a feeling of self-actualisation, the satisfaction derived by seeing the smiles on the faces of the needy gives us pure joy. In addition to this voluntarily doing community service enhances and develops our personality. Moreover, if we mention in our CVs and resumes about having done social service, it puts a good impression on the interviewer. Volunteering fosters empathy and makes us more responsible individuals. By lending a helping hand for the underprivileged, we promote kindness and compassion. Social service never goes in vain, it will always have a positive impact on someone’s life. We all must volunteer for at least once in our lives, to help make the world a better place for every individual.
