Preserving and protecting one’s mental health is important, and raising awareness about it has become a necessity too and should be publicised as the diseases associated with it are rising day by day. People of all ages have become a victim of mental health related disorders. Such illnesses can be triggered through traumatising events or can be initiated through one. Many people are diagnosed with disorders like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and etcetera and these must be treated in time before they get worse.
In today’s world such diseases are normalised and are treated with care and medications. If someone experiences suicidal thoughts or depression, they must seek help. The advancing medical profession has led to development of psychiatrists and therapists which help one overcome and deal with their issues. The presence of online platforms and toll free helpline numbers aid in improving one’s mental condition. Other than all of this one must realise and be well informed about their condition beforehand so that action can be taken on it accordingly therefore seminars and campaigns are being conducted and should be conducted even more in offices and school so that awareness among adults and children rises. One should also be taught to identify if a person is suffering mentally or emotionally. People suffering must be treated with kindness and compassion for their speedy recovery. Mental health check ups should be mandated for every individual so if any illness is detected it can be treated.
Therefore mental health must be prioritised and be taken well care of and should not be neglected in any scenario.
