Education at every step of life is crucial. The initial education and learning in a person’s life plays a very important role in cognitive development, social development and also helps to shape the personality, therefore it should not be neglected. The final stages of education include the college education and research. College level education is necessary for career, work and future job prospects. Significant personality development begins at college, the experience from professors and exposure to various fields and societies helps students get better opportunities. Courses in certain fields, especially in the humanities, such as the social sciences should be taught for free to educate the society on issues related to socialism, caste issues, communism and more. People from disadvantaged backgrounds including those with financial hardships or disabilities should be given special consideration and privileges so that they can graduate too. Government should establish institutions for such individuals and should offer courses across important subjects to bring uniformity and so that the level of education is maintained. Qualified and trained teachers should be hired so that the quality of education is not compromised. In conclusion, college education doesn’t have to be free for everyone, but only for the underprivileged.
